About the role

The Field Research Manager at CoStar Group is responsible for managing a team of Field Researchers who capture data to support CoStar Group products. This role is based in Los Angeles, CA with 25% travel required monthly.

Responsibilities

  • Build, train, mentor, and coach a growing team of c. 8 professional Field Researchers.
  • Daily review of the team’s production measured against KPI metrics.
  • Review incoming data to determine its quality relative to standards and guidelines.
  • Provide constructive, actionable feedback to team members to meet both production and quality expectations.
  • Create action plans to help team members grow, succeed, and maintain their engagement.
  • Communicate effectively and professionally with employees and internal partners to meet company objectives.
  • Work closely with Tenant and Market Research teams.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited, not-for-profit University or College
  • Track record of commitment to prior employers
  • 3-5 years’ direct operations management of 5+ employees, virtual management a plus
  • Leadership and management skills, including the ability to prioritize the workload of a team and verify the quality of the incoming data
  • Proven success in building strong, cohesive teams through influence and collaboration
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate and execute corporate strategy
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret information and trends, adapting quickly
  • Proficiency in Excel, including the ability to manipulate data, filter, and create basic formulas
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications, including PowerPoint, as well as Apple OS and other Internet applications
  • Field experience is a plus
  • A current and valid driver’s license
  • Satisfactory completion of a Driving Record/Driving Abstract check prior to start
