What You'll Do
- Drive issue resolution from root cause analysis to countermeasure implementation on all electro-mechanical issues pertaining to the Drive Unit Inverter
- Identify root cause by performing detailed hands-on failure analysis using a wide range of analytical tools and techniques including electrical debugging, X-Ray, microscopic inspection, cross sectioning, thermography, and functional testing
- Design and conduct experiments on drive units to replicate failures observed in the field
- Analyze and interpret field and diagnostic logs/data to identify commonality on trending issues
- Monitor product field performance, identify trending issues and prioritize work based on severity, occurrence, and cost of each failure mode
- Provide upfront feedback by participating in design reviews to ensure product performance, reliability, and manufacturability issues are identified and risks mitigated (DFMEAs)
- Collaborate with appropriate engineers, suppliers, and contract manufacturers to drive resolution to the identified failure causes
What You'll Bring
- Degree in Electrical/Electronic/Mechatronics Engineering or equivalent experience
- Prior applicable experience desired; preferably in a hands-on role such as Failure Analysis / Quality / Service in consumer electronics or automotive
- Exceptional problem solving and Failure Analysis, strong attention to detail and analytical thinking
- Ability to use tools and business system applications to manage, synthesize, and interpret data
- Programming Languages & Tools: Python, Minitab, JMP or similar are a strong plus
