About the role

As a Field Relationship Manager, you will grow and retain a portfolio of Chase Merchant Services client relationships, focusing on an existing portfolio of Middle Market clients (Government, Healthcare, Higher-Education, Non-Profit). You will partner closely with the firm-wide bank coverage team, including JPMorgan Payments Treasury Services, to maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and influencers. Your role will drive JP Morgan Merchant Services' profitability goals through strategic client management, re-contracting existing business, and identifying incremental business opportunities within your designated portfolio.

Responsibilities

  • Achieve firm-wide business objectives, including the annual revenue plan at target margins, by maintaining and growing existing relationships, identifying incremental business, and ensuring high levels of client satisfaction.
  • Execute sales and support strategies in conjunction with other lines of business, including the Commercial Bank, JPMorgan Payments Treasury Services, FX, and Card Services, to optimize product and service delivery.
  • Serve as the principal point of contact for internal partners and the primary contact for client relationships on behalf of Merchant Services.
  • Implement and support ongoing client strategy and coordinate cross-sell opportunities with other parts of JPMorgan Payments Treasury Services.
  • Understand client needs through a strategic, consultative selling approach to cultivate payment optimization strategies, develop product solution recommendations, and grow the business.
  • Prepare and deliver quarterly business reviews and analysis on strategic client relationships, providing compelling financial and market analysis to support proposals for business expansion.
  • Participate in external industry conferences to enhance market visibility for the JPMorgan franchise within the identified market segment.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in a strategic relationship management, business development, or technology-related role.
  • Demonstrated ability to grow and expand relationships with Fortune 500 caliber clients.
  • Experience and comfort working with C-suite level client stakeholders.
  • Experience collaborating across multi-faceted financial institutions or similar organizations, particularly with relationship bankers, product, service, and operations partners.
  • Demonstrated ability to work across cultures with internal teams and external clients.
  • Exceptional relationship management skills, strong presentation skills, and exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Travel required: 10%.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; MBA preferred.
  • Expertise in Government, Healthcare, Higher-Education, or Non-Profit verticals.
