Control Tower & Field Quality Engineer with a specialty in Charging & Distribution, Body Electronics & ADAS, focused on leading and managing the resolution of warranty issues through problem-solving, root cause analysis, and validation.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product development, supplier quality, and manufacturing) to implement corrective actions.
- Lead complex electrical component and systems problem root cause analysis.
- Conduct vehicle reviews at offsite locations such as engineering centers, dealers, and assembly plants to identify and confirm root causes.
- Propose solutions, validate their effectiveness, and monitor progress to ensure timely resolution.
- Define and implement relevant service actions to resolve warranty issues, including Parts Purge, Service Bulletins, Tech Tips, and Rapid Service Updates.
- Adopt a lessons-learned mindset to apply insights across vehicle applications and share them throughout the Stellantis vehicle landscape to proactively prevent future issues.
- Provide regular updates on warranty-related quality issues, progress on GIMs, and resolution status at quality and leadership meetings.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering.
- 5+ years of proven background in vehicle electronics hardware and/or software, including experience in automotive product design release, resident engineering, or component manufacturing processes.
- Demonstrated expertise in solving problems through advanced root cause analysis tools and techniques.
- Strong analytical skills to identify patterns and trends using data analytics tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact effectively with suppliers, dealers, internal teams, and all levels of management.
- Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with engineering, manufacturing, and supplier quality teams.
- Strong customer-oriented mindset.
- Capable of managing multiple tasks and projects, tracking progress, and ensuring timely delivery of solutions.
- Ability to travel within the USA 20% of the time as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledgeable in APQP, PPAP, DFMEA, PFMEA.
- Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering.
- Experience with CANalyzer.
- Master's in Engineering.
- Shainin RedX Black Belt.
- Green Belt / Kepner Tregoe.
- Design for Six Sigma.
- Project Management experience.
