Field Quality Engineer, Cooper Lighting Solutions

About the role

This is an exciting opportunity for a Field Quality Engineer onsite in Peachtree City, GA, with Cooper Lighting Solutions, a business unit of Signify, the world leader in lighting.

• Analyze warranty claims to determine root cause and develop effective resolution plans; own end-to-end customer claims, ensuring timely progress from intake through closure
• Perform and lead failure analysis, including lab-based testing (visual, functional, electrical), and coordinate with external FA (Failure Analysis) resources, as needed
• Collaborate with internal teams (Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, Marketing, Sales), agents, and contractors to drive resolution of customer issues
• Create and maintain detailed job files and documentation within the SAP quality module (QN)
• Travel to job sites to troubleshoot, validate failures, and gather critical field data; review and validate field labor claims, including negotiation and approval support
• Drive continuous improvement by identifying trends, gaps, and opportunities based on field and FA learnings

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Electrical, Electronics, or related) and experience in a customer-facing or field-based technical role
• Working knowledge of electronics, failure analysis, and electrical testing with ability to troubleshoot issues at both the component and system level
• Well-developed project management skills and successful managing multiple claims and priorities simultaneously
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to clearly document findings and communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• SAP experience preferred
• Able to travel up to 25% in North America
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future company sponsorship needs

Pay

Salary: $61,060 - $89,551 based on experience

Bonus: target bonus opportunity - 5%
