Field Property Adjuster - CT - National General

About the role

National General is a part of The Allstate Corporation, offering home, auto, and accident and health insurance, as well as other specialty niche insurance products. This role is remote and focuses on driving sales growth by engaging with interested prospective customers through inbound and proactive outbound calls.

Responsibilities

• Builds mastered relationships with both internal and external customers
• Interprets regulatory compliance and fair claims practices
• Negotiates settlements, makes settlement payments and documents all activities in the most complex of files
• Applies mastered content in interpretations of all policy types written by the company and assists leadership in formal and ad hoc training
• Exhibits mastery estimating fundamentals in order to create estimates of damages on complex 1st party homeowner losses of all severities

Requirements

• At least 2+ years of property claims experience
• Comfortable with regular travel
• Proficient in Xactimate
• Strong skills in coverage evaluation and policy interpretation

Qualifications

• Authorization to work in the United States
• Financial strength rating of A– (excellent) from A.M. Best

Pay

The base compensation offered for this role is:

• Field Property Cons I: $53,500 – $77,800
• Field Property Cons II: $56,000 – $82,500
• Field Property Sr Cons I & II: $65,600 – $98,200

Total compensation includes base compensation and incentive pay (e.g. commission, bonus).

Schedule

This role involves handling first-party property claims, including losses related to water, fire, hail, wind etc. The ideal candidate will be based near the Shoreline area, with assigned field territory potentially varying depending on claim volume.
