About the role

As a Field Property Adjuster, you will investigate and evaluate homeowners property claims from start to finish. You will confirm the facts of loss, determine coverage, assess damages, and negotiate settlements within your assigned authority. This role involves managing the entire claim lifecycle, including supplements, Additional Living Expense (ALE) claims, contents, and personal property losses. You will collaborate with customers, contractors, and partners to ensure accurate and efficient claims handling while delivering excellent customer service through clear, timely communication.

We seek an experienced Field Property Adjuster located preferably in the central or eastern parts of Massachusetts. Proficiency in Xactimate and a strong foundation in claims handling—including supplements, ALE, contents, and full claim ownership—are required. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong organizational skills, a proactive approach, excellent customer service, and adaptability in a fast-paced environment. Experience handling claims in both field and desk settings is strongly preferred. An active adjuster license or a license qualifying for reciprocity in applicable states is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Exhibit mastery of estimating fundamentals to create damage estimates for complex first-party homeowner losses of all severities.
• Build and maintain relationships with internal and external customers.
• Interpret regulatory compliance and fair claims practices.
• Negotiate settlements, process payments, and document all activities for complex files.
• Apply expertise in interpreting all policy types written by the company and assist leadership in formal and ad-hoc training.

Compensation is based on experience and qualifications. Total compensation may include additional components such as incentive pay (e.g., commission or bonus), if applicable.

As a requirement of employment, individuals with an active insurance license must terminate all existing appointments prior to onboarding and may not hold outside appointments during employment. Applicants holding a resident producer license must formally surrender it when instructed by the licensing team.
