Field Project Representative 1
About the role
The Field Project Representative 1 position is part of DOWL's Construction Engineering and Inspection team. DOWL is a leading consulting firm with over 60 years of experience in civil engineering and related services. The position requires a strong background in construction observation, administrative duties, and documentation.
Responsibilities
- Interpret contract plans and specifications
- Observe and inspect work performed by contractors to evaluate compliance with contract documents
- Note taking and documentation
- Preparation of pay requests and record keeping
- Assist with responding to requests for information, change orders, and other field/construction administrative duties as needed
Requirements
- Ability to travel away from home location for extended periods of time to work on-site at construction projects
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Basic understanding of technical fundamentals
- Basic understanding of AASHTOWare, DocExpress, local agency data management software, and Newforma
- Basic understanding of materials testing and requirements, quantity and quality tracking
- Understanding of budget and schedule
- Basic familiarity with industry standards and regulations
- Ability to obtain Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certificate within 6 months of hire
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- None required for experience
- Preferred EIT certificate

Pay
The hourly range for this position is $30.73 - $46.10. In addition to base salary, employees may be entitled to other forms of compensation depending on the type, duties, or location of the position.
Schedule
The position may require night shift and/or weekend work as necessary.
