Job Summary
VARITE is seeking a Project Controls Analyst for one of its clients located in Newnan, GA. The client is a global engineering, procurement, construction, and consulting company specializing in energy, water, telecommunications, and environmental services.

Responsibilities
- Performs project controls assignments according to training, capability, and experience.
- Assists in the preparation of larger and more complex project controls assignments with additional experience and demonstrated capabilities.
- Understands EPC work process and dependencies between functions.
- Develops project risk analysis skills.
- Scheduling:
- Facilitates the development and maintenance of the Level I/II schedule.
- Learns in schedule development and maintenance, including fragnet identification and resource leveling.
- Learns critical path and float analysis reporting.
- Develops and maintains earned value reports.
- Develops and maintains earned value reports.
- Develops and maintains earned value reports.
- Gains understanding of key cost control processes.
Requirements
- Technical Skills:
- Mastery of Primavera P6 is essential.
- Deep understanding of network diagrams, leads, lags, and identifying the exact sequence of activities that drive the project end date.
- The ability to link schedule progress with cost data to measure the actual performance of the project against its baseline.
- Breaks large, complex projects down into smaller, manageable, and trackable components.
- Identifies potential schedule delays and evaluates both threats and opportunities to project.
- The ability to trace, document, and quantify the impact of changes in project scope on the overall timeline.
- Strategically assigns labor, equipment, and materials to ensure maximum efficiency without causing bottlenecks.
- Education:
- Four-year bachelor's degree with six or more years of relevant Planning & Scheduling experience OR no four-year bachelor's degree required with eight years or more of relevant Cost Control or Planning & Scheduling experience in Home Office or Field Office.
- Prefer four-year bachelor's degree in engineering or construction management.
