Field Product Specialist (Semi Test Sales; San Jose, CA)

About the role

The Field Product Specialist (FPS) connects customer challenges with Teradyne solutions to drive growth. You’ll partner with Sales, Marketing, Applications, and Engineering to shape proposals, influence product direction, and help customers succeed.

Responsibilities

• Build trusted technical relationships with customer engineering teams.
• Identify opportunities, articulate value, and help drive wins.
• Cook up cross-functional experts to design and deliver customer solutions.
• Provide customer-driven input on positioning and product/engineering roadmaps.
• Share feedback with factory and engineering to improve roadmap and execution.

Requirements

• 5–8+ years in semiconductor validation/test (e.g., test development, DFT, or test-enablement tools).
• Experience with leading-edge ATE, SLT or Functional Module Test.
• BS+ in Electrical Engineering (or related).
• Customer-first mindset; able to build relationships across customer and internal teams.
• Ownership mindset; collaborate, prioritize, and drive closure.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Competitive benchmarking experience is a plus.
• Growth mindset and interest in customer-facing work.

Qualifications

• Customer engagement is centered in San Jose; CA. Travel is 1-2 weeks/quarter to Asia.
• Must be able to carry auto liability or minimum insurance due to automotive responsibilities.

Skills

• Experience with or interest in learning:
• Silicon technology fundamentals and DFT
• ATE, System-Level Test or Functional Module Test
• Test program generation and debug
• Digital test techniques
• Manufacturing test
• C#/.NET (helpful, not required)
