About the Role
Parking and Transportation Services (PTS) is seeking multiple Field Operations Supervisors to provide leadership and operational oversight for parking operations across Arizona State University. These positions oversee daily operations while ensuring exceptional customer service, operational consistency, employee accountability, and effective coordination across multiple campuses and shifts.
Field Operations Supervisors may be assigned to specialize in one of several operational areas, including but not limited to:
- Parking Dispatch
- Parking Enforcement
- Parking Field Services
- Customer Service Operations
- Parking Events
Although supervisors may have primary responsibility for a designated operational area, all Field Operations Supervisors are expected to become proficient in all areas of Parking Operations and provide cross-functional leadership as operational needs require.
These positions supervise full-time, part-time, temporary, student employees, and contracted personnel during daily operations and special events. Supervisors develop staff schedules, monitor performance, coordinate operational communications, and ensure consistent implementation of departmental policies, procedures, and customer service standards.
These positions are located at multiple ASU Campuses, and responsibilities may include supporting operations in multiple locations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree and three (3) years of experience appropriate to the area of assignment/field; OR, any equivalent combination of experience and/or training from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.
- Valid U.S. Driver's License with an acceptable motor vehicle record.
Responsibilities
- Oversees daily parking operations within assigned functional area while maintaining awareness of overall Parking Operations activities.
- Supervises Parking Enforcement Officers, Dispatch personnel, Field Service Specialists, Customer Service staff, student employees, and contracted personnel as assigned.
- Coordinates staffing levels to meet operational demands, special events, athletic events, commencement ceremonies, and emergency situations.
- Ensures operational continuity and effective communication between multiple shifts and campuses.
- Provides leadership during parking operations and large-scale special events.
- Responds to and resolves customer concerns received in person, by telephone, email, social media, and other electronic communication platforms.
- Performs employee coaching, scheduling, performance management, and documentation.
- Assists with recruitment activities including reviewing applications, interviewing candidates, onboarding new employees, and facilitating employee training.
- Participates in leadership meetings, training programs, and professional development opportunities while ensuring assigned staff receive appropriate training.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
- Experience in ASU Parking and Transportation Services operations.
- Experience with parking enforcement, dispatch, field services, customer service, or parking event operations.
- Experience supervising employees in a fast-paced operational environment.
- Experience coordinating large-scale special events.
- Experience using AIMS, Amano, Genetec, or comparable parking management systems.
- Experience operating parking access and revenue control equipment.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, Workday and other business software.
- Experience taking electronic payments and reconciling revenue.
- Experience serving as a Department Time Administrator or equivalent payroll/timekeeping role.
- Experience with recruitment, onboarding, employee training, and performance management.
- Demonstrated ability to lead multiple teams across varying shifts and operational functions.
- Demonstrated customer service experience.
- Experience maintaining accurate records and preparing operational reports.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to grammar and detail.
- Demonstrated ability to make sound decisions under pressure while managing multiple priorities.
Department Statement
Parking and Transportation Services (PTS) plays an integral role in support of the development of Arizona State University by managing the parking and commuter options on the four campuses. PTS manages a 24,000+ parking inventory system-wide and strongly encourages the use of more environmentally friendly transportation options by subsidizing programs such as intercampus shuttles, carpool, car-sharing, and public transit. These services assist ASU students, faculty, and staff in traveling to, around, and between campuses. PTS also provides ambassador and bike valet services to ensure a culture of safety for all pedestrians navigating the most populated campus areas. PTS employees work in a dynamic and rapidly expanding University department.
Pay
$54,600 - $59,000 per year.
