Job Summary

The Field Operations Manager - Special Projects is responsible for the successful execution of GC facing projects in the local region. Reporting to the Operations Manager for the local office, this role oversees all aspects of assigned projects and teams to complete the awarded work. Responsibilities include setting deadlines, assigning responsibilities, monitoring and summarizing project progress, assisting sales and engineering teams, reviewing team performance, providing mentorship, and generating forecasts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and present reports to upper management regarding project status
  • Lead and direct team members to ensure proper resources are in place
  • Coordinate with Project Managers during project initiation to confirm pre-deployment requirements
  • Enhance department and organization reputation internally and externally
  • Mentor and guide team members to achieve company-defined targets and expectations
  • Support staff in maintaining project timelines using internal tools and best practices
  • Collaborate with leadership to generate accurate forecasts for revenue and staffing needs
  • Participate in and/or lead weekly Work In Progress (WIP) reviews for assigned projects
  • Aid Sales and Engineering in procurement of new work
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
  • Review labor assignments daily to ensure technicians possess the necessary skillsets
  • Assist in the development of improved policies and procedures
  • Generate accurate forecasts for both revenue and staffing needs across upcoming projects
  • Ensure on-time project delivery and efficient use of internal tools and resources
  • Provide reliable revenue and staffing forecasts for leadership
  • Ensure on-target margins and revenue delivery across all projects

Requirements

  • Property Technology Security background
  • Proven experience managing projects, preferably in data center or critical infrastructure environments
  • Strong background in physical security, including planning and implementation
  • Extensive working knowledge of security technologies such as access control systems, surveillance/CCTV systems, intrusion detection systems, lock systems, network infrastructure, intercom system deployment
  • Exceptional ability to manage multiple priorities, delegate effectively, and work across departments
  • Strong communication skills
  • Commitment to teamwork and proactive attitude
