Responsibilities
- Lead, supervise, and support a team of field technicians, inspectors, and special inspectors.
- Promote and enforce company safety policies and procedures, including radiation safety programs and field safety protocols.
- Mentor, train, and develop field staff to support professional growth and technical excellence.
- Cook up staffing and scheduling needs with dispatch and project management teams.
- Serve as a liaison between field personnel, project managers, clients, and contractors.
- Monitor field operations to ensure quality standards, project requirements, and client expectations are met.
- Oversee field equipment inventory, maintenance, repairs, calibration, and replacement.
- Manage company vehicle and fleet operations to ensure safe and efficient utilization.
- Assist with hiring, onboarding, performance evaluations, and workforce planning.
- Support operational improvements, resource allocation, and department goals.
- Respond to field challenges and provide technical and operational guidance to staff.
Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in construction, construction materials testing, special inspections, or related construction quality assurance services.
- Previous experience leading, supervising, or mentoring field technicians and inspectors preferred.
- Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced construction environment.
- Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
Preferred Qualifications
- ICC certifications, including Reinforced Concrete, Structural Masonry, or other applicable special inspection certifications.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Experience managing field operations, equipment programs, safety initiatives, and technical staff.
