Field Operations Leader (Service) Grid Systems

About the role

This position provides strategic oversight of field operations in the NAM region. You will lead and coordinate field service operations to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality customer support.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the field specialists and field engineers, their personal and skill developments
  • Grow and develop the team
  • Maintain the field group at the expected level of productivity
  • Anticipate business development and develop staffing plans to support the growth
  • Sales and operational planning. Resource loading and planning
  • Ensure accurate resource loading and capacity planning to meet project demands
  • Manage all the business requests
  • Assign missions to the field specialist based on their skills and development needs
  • Find good compromises between business requirements and field specialist life balance
  • Filter requests and guarantee stability to the field group
  • Field process owner; guarantee that the field missions are executed as per the processes
  • Improve the processes based on return of experience
  • Supervise 24/7 response; Maintain rotation planning
  • Make sure someone answers the calls. Dispatch calls if required
  • Serve as the primary point of escalation and strategic partner for the client
  • Build and maintain executive-level relationships to ensure high customer satisfaction
  • Cross function coordination - Cross-Functional collaboration between Project Management, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Commercial teams
  • Contribute to the development of organizational strategy and policy, ensuring all delivery models align with broader business objectives
  • Proactively promote EHS; Maintain Field people trained as per legal requirements
  • Make sure mission risks are properly identified and mitigated
  • Guarantee appropriate PPEs are provided to the field specialist

Requirements

  • 5 years of experience as team manager / Prior field operations experience in Services and operations
  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical or mechanical Engineering or any B.S. degree with related experience
  • 5 years of transmission and Distribution substation engineering for utilities and renewable energy power plants
  • Field experience in electrical, mechanical, controls and protection disciplines

Pay

The initial pay range for this position is between $104,200.00 and $173,700.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.

Schedule

Initial preference is to identify a candidate that will work in the Houston office location. Additionally, we will consider Remote US only.
