Field Network Technician III

Key Responsibilities

• Fiber Optic Cable experience required.
• Install and maintain voice, data, security, and VoIP communication systems and equipment.
• Complete assigned work orders with a strong commitment to quality and customer satisfaction.
• Use a laptop and various software applications to manage work orders and documentation.

Qualifications

• 1-5 years of experience in telecommunications or a related electrical field.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently with a high level of technical aptitude.
• Experience working with Cisco systems or similar equipment manufacturers.

• US Citizen, GC Holders or Authorized to Work in the US

Working Conditions

• Home-based dispatch.
• Weekend and on-call work may be required as needed.

Essential Responsibilities

• Provide high-level customer service.
• Drive to and from customers' business locations in a defined geographic area performing installation and repair of internet, copper and fiber cabling, rack mounted routers, demarcation extensions, etc.
• Receive and complete work orders from a centralized dispatch center ensuring that routes are efficient, and that service is delivered in a timely manner.
• Troubleshoot technical issues such as installing cable runs, swapping out cards, installing data circuits for internet connections.
• Ensure vehicle, test equipment, and tools are maintained in excellent condition.

About the Role

This is a long term contract to potential hire position based in Louisville, KY.

Pay

$30 - $35 per hour, 40 hours guaranteed.

Schedule

Home-based dispatch. Weekend and on-call work may be required as needed.
