Field Ministry & Coaches Coordinator

About the Role

The Field Ministry & Coaches Coordinator integrates World Race programs into the long-term ministry of Adventures’ bases and strategic ministry partners. Through interactive planning, this role ensures the successful development of base field ministry expressions, resulting in local churches planted, leaders trained, and programs successfully mobilized. The coordinator maintains and strengthens World Race connections with bases and partners to establish mutually beneficial arrangements while providing pastoral and administrative support to the Coaching Program.

Responsibilities

• Field Ministry Partner Relations
  • Maintain relationships with bases and strategic ministry partners to ensure communication, mutual understanding, and awareness of contextual issues related to programs and field operations.
  • Determine budgets for food, lodging, and transportation for mobilization programs.
• Route Logistics
  • Create tools for hosts, squads, leaders, and mentors to increase communication efficiency between all parties.
  • Maintain the Adventures Route Calendar (ARC).
  • Send Team Evaluation surveys to hosts to gather feedback and review host evaluations from teams to ensure a win-win outcome for all parties.
• Development Plans
  • Work with Adventures bases and strategic ministry partners to create new Field Ministry Development Plans (FMDPs) for bases that need them.
  • Collaborate with Short-Term Missions (STM) and Long-Term Missions (LTM) to identify field ministry synergies across departments.
• PVT Preparation
  • In collaboration with Parent Ministries, decide on projects to highlight during PVTs (Personal Vision Trips).
  • Work with Donor Development and Parent Ministries to articulate development plans and integrate PVT "asks" into the process.
  • Set up regular meetings in preparation for upcoming PVTs.
• Coaching Program Care & Administration
  • Assist the Field Discipleship Manager in strengthening and empowering the Coaching Program.
  • Schedule coaches' travel and lodging needs for Training Camp and on-campus debriefs.
  • Send updates and communications to the coaching network.
  • Assist in training coaches before and during Training Camp.
  • Oversee the spiritual health of field leadership teams.
  • Pursue relationships with coaches and World Race support staff to provide spiritual support, encouragement, and recognition of spiritual gifts.
  • Assist the Field Discipleship Manager in providing discipleship instructions to coaches and support staff, aligned with Adventures in Missions’ values and beliefs.
  • Pray for and with leadership teams.
  • Develop a team of ministry partners to meet fundraising goals (amount to be determined), ministering through prayer and teaching biblical truths (1 Corinthians 9:14, Philippians 4:17).

Qualifications

• Professing Christian with an established record of high Christian character, integrity, servant leadership, maturity, and a positive attitude.
• Character and Integrity: Strong Christian moral principles, trustworthiness, honesty, fairness, and demonstration of the Fruit of the Spirit in both word and action.
• Servant Leadership: Lead with humility, prioritizing the needs of others and improving those served.

• Demonstrates emotional and spiritual health, manifesting authority, confidence, and the ability to lead others into the same.
• Evidence of discipleship fruit in their life.
• Understands and embraces the core values, culture, and ministry of Adventures in Missions, with a passion to contribute to and propel its future.
• Desire and skills (written, verbal, and interpersonal) to work collaboratively in an intergenerational environment with coaches, SQLs, and AIM leaders, valuing participant leadership.
• Able to influence a broad range of people and effectively drive them toward common goals in Training, Launch, and Debrief environments.
• Flexibility to meet shifting needs and willingness to work flexible hours, doing "whatever it takes."

Prior involvement with the World Race program is desired but not required.
