Field Merchandise Analytics Manager - Northeast Business Unit
Essential Functions
Demonstrate thought leadership and be an Ambassador to Data Driven Merchandising initiatives and an enabler for data-driven decision making.
Actively participate in the ongoing reviews of pricing, assortment, and promotional strategies in connection with business process and planning.
Document BU level strategic decisions around pricing, promotions, and assortment.
Mechanize driving insights into actions by working with cross-functional partners (i.e., Business Unit Marketing/Merchandising Teams, Global Promotional, Assortment Teams and Pricing Teams) to identify gaps and make recommendations to improve existing DDM tools and processes.
Use technical expertise to conceptualize and develop new, reusable tools, models, and approaches to provide our partners with insights and recommendations to meet business goals.
Actively participate on the annual DDM planning process for the business unit
Translate insights and recommendations into stories which are prepared for and delivered to various stakeholders.
Join our Global Analytical network on data and analytics issues and share experiences with other Business Units.
Mentor junior resources and contribute to their career development.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Business Analytics or a related subject area followed by three or more years of progressive responsibility experience.
- Have a proven track record of delivering succinct and structured oral and written communications, leading conversations, and offering differentiating perspectives to senior business leaders.
- Experience driving large scale projects end-to-end, including demonstrated success leading cross-functional teams through ambiguous situations presenting them with clear, practical insights that accelerate business execution.
- Demonstration of strategic thinking, logical reasoning, strong communication and presentation skills, data interpretation outstanding analytic skills, and the ability to resolve complex issues.
- Experience working with individuals from different organizational functions and at different levels.
- Experience in a supervisory role, managing and developing people.
- Retail experience is an asset.
