About the role
Your mission is to perform service, including preventive maintenance, safety checks, corrective actions, upgrades, and refurbishment, on equipment at external or Hiab locations in line with the Manager's instructions. You will be responsible for contributing to productive customer relationships and following Best Practice in all administrative and technical activities.
The Hiab facility is located in Oshkosh, WI, however, all field service work will be conducted in the Madison, WI, and surrounding areas.
Responsibilities
- Inspect, perform service, troubleshoot (preventive maintenance, safety checks, corrective actions, upgrades, and refurbishment) on equipment such as forklifts, knuckle boom cranes, loaders, liftgates, hooklifts, skiploaders, and hoists in line with the Manager's instructions
- Follow applicable safety rules, agreed working practices, and environmental requirements
- Stay up to date with technical developments as shown in internal service bulletins and complete technical courses when instructed by the District Service Manager
- Respond to customer's queries and concerns to maximize customer satisfaction and follow Hiab Customer Satisfaction Guidelines
- Keep adequate records, maintain documentation, and submit daily reports in the format specified by the District Service Manager
- Recognize sales opportunities and communicate to the District Service Manager
- Coach/tutor junior colleagues and trainees as necessary
- Conduct self at all times in a way that promotes a positive image of the Hiab brand and follow rules of the Quality System
Requirements
- Ability to obtain and maintain a 1-year DOT Medical Card is required for this position
- Valid Driver's License is required
- No more than one moving violation in the last year, or two violations within a two-year time frame
- High School diploma or equivalent is required
- 5+ years of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical operations experience
- Appropriate diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
- Own tools required
- Know, understand, and comply with Hiab USA, Inc. Operating and Technical Procedures and Workplace Instructions
