Field Marketing Representative
About the role
As a Field Marketing Representative with Expo Home Improvement, you’ll represent our company at high-traffic retail locations, home shows, and events throughout South Texas. You’ll approach homeowners, start conversations about their home improvement needs, and generate interest in scheduling an in-home appointment with our design team. This is NOT a third-party marketing company. You’ll be a direct employee of Expo Home Improvement.
Responsibilities
- Proactively approach and engage homeowners
- Start conversations, ask questions, and uncover home improvement needs
- Keep conversations going and work through initial hesitation or objections
- Generate interest and set qualified appointments for our sales team
- Meet weekly appointment-setting and performance goals
- Represent Expo with energy, professionalism, and excellent customer service
Qualifications
- Confident and comfortable approaching new people
- Strong conversational and listening skills
- Comfortable asking questions and overcoming objections
- Competitive, goal-oriented, and motivated by performance
- Positive, resilient, and coachable
- Reliable with a strong work ethic
Pay
- Base Pay: $18 per hour
- Weekly earning potential: $1,000–$2,500+
- Performance Bonuses:
- 1–2 Gross Sales: $400 bonus per sale
- 3–4 Gross Sales: $500 bonus per sale
- 5–6 Gross Sales: $600 bonus per sale
- $300 bonus per net sale

Schedule
- Weekend availability is required
- Reliable transportation is required
- Comfortable driving up to 50 miles one way to assigned locations
- Mileage reimbursement is provided for travel over 50 miles one way
- Assigned work location known in advance
- Comfortable working in an active retail/event environment

Requirements
- Physical Requirements & Working Conditions:
- Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 8 hours)
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, etc.)
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. (e.g., event materials, signage)
- Comfortable with prolonged periods of speaking and engaging with the public
- Ability to travel to multiple locations within a workday (retail sites and events)
- Must be able to stop, reach, and bend occasionally when setting up booths or materials
- Must be able to report to and work from different assigned locations, which may vary day to day based on business needs
