Job Description
The Field Manager or Lead DAS Technician will generally work under the supervision of a Field Manager II as a Junior Field Manager until capable of handling a job independently. Key qualities and strengths should include leadership, problem-solving, tenacity, and a strong drive to learn the RF and technical aspects of the DAS business.
Responsibilities
- Understanding the logistics of materials needed, both ordering and inventory control
- Driving and tracking project schedules and understanding budget targets
- Aiding with change orders if necessary
- Introduction to DAS systems commissioning and optimization practices
- Aiding with site surveys/data collection and producing bid documents on small to medium projects
- Aiding with closeout document data collection and package completion
- Customer service while on the job site
- Adherence to all site and CTS safety standards
- Weekly reports and time card approvals
- Leading install teams in stringing coax and fiber cable, including cable termination
- Proficient with PIM & sweep testing of both coax and fiber
- Certified in fusion splicing and fiber optic testing practices
- Proficient in operating and understanding all functions of test equipment, including RF, cable, and fiber test gear
- Troubleshooting all systems to identify issues and recommend solutions
- Learning all major carriers' frequency bands, protocols, and terminology
- Learning to read iBwave Design documentation (blueprints) and understanding different installation components
- Familiarity with all CTS products and services
- Possessing a working knowledge of building codes to ensure fully compliant installations
- Computer skills should include understanding of MS Word, Excel, Projects, and Google Mail
- Regional travel may be required
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Clean driving record
- Pass a background check
- Physical ability to: carry tools, materials, and ladders; climb ladders, lift up to 50 lbs as needed, and perform daily required tasks
Pay and Benefits
Pay commensurate based upon experience: $28-$34/HR
Overtime as needed: $42-$51/HR
