About the Role

General Superintendent – JFK Terminal 2 construction project (New York City). Serves as a senior advisor on large‑scope, complex projects, provides marketing and business development support, and may have a small number of direct reports. Oversees administration of projects throughout the construction cycle, including technical, financial, and client‑satisfaction responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Act as top advisor on projects of large scope and complexity.
• Provide marketing and business development support and interact with clients.
• Oversee project administration during construction, managing technical, financial, and client‑satisfaction aspects.
• Manage and select subcontractors.
• Ensure safety, quality, and operational excellence on highly complex construction sites.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 12 years of relevant construction experience, including at least 4 years in a leadership role (or equivalent education/experience).
• 12 years of experience as a Superintendent on large, mega‑construction projects.
• Proven delivery of major aviation/airport terminal projects, ideally within an active airport environment.
• Strong knowledge of NYC‑area construction practices, codes, permitting, and regulatory requirements; experience with Port Authority projects highly preferred.
• Experience in the management and selection of subcontractors.
• Ability to interact effectively with team members, owners’ representatives, and other key stakeholders.
• Strong commitment to safety, quality, and operational excellence on complex sites.
• Eligibility to work in the United States without sponsorship; must pass a pre‑employment substance‑abuse test.
• Position is on‑site only (not hybrid nor remote) and requires in‑person Day 1 onboarding at an AECOM office.

Skills

• Proficiency with construction management software (CMiC).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams).

Pay

Compensation range: $192,925.66 – $356,912.49 per year, based on education, qualifications, experience, and work location.

On‑site work model; the position is not hybrid nor remote.
