About the role
As a Field Maintenance Trainee, you will conduct all work safely, adhering to safety, environmental, and contamination control policies. You will assist in preventive maintenance tasks, learn to diagnose and repair equipment, and maintain tools and service literature. This role requires flexibility to work nights and weekends as needed.
Responsibilities
- Adhere to all safety, environmental, and contamination control policies and procedures; wear and enforce proper personal protective equipment.
- Assist in preventive maintenance tasks, including changing fluids, filters, pulling SOS samples, lubricating/cleaning components, and testing equipment performance with mentor support.
- Maintain a minimum set of tools for diagnosing, disassembling, and assembling machine components to manufacturer specifications.
- Attend and complete required technician training classes in the Field Maintenance Trainee program.
- Learn to supply required information, documentation, and photos for repairs and additional services identified during preventive maintenance visits.
- Maintain a neat and orderly work area, adhering to contamination control guidelines and improving work methods and safety standards.
- Perform daily vehicle inspections in compliance with guidelines and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain company service literature and stay updated on technical changes in the industry.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- 12-18 months of experience in a related field or preventive maintenance.
- Ability to comprehend written material and communicate effectively orally and in writing.
- Valid driver’s license with a clear motor vehicle record (MVR).
- Prior experience working autonomously in a related technical role.
Preferred Qualifications
- Proficiency in computer use, Microsoft Office products, and relevant dealer software programs.
Working Conditions
- Work Schedule: Typically performed after regular business hours (e.g., night shift) with rare exceptions.

- Frequently exposed to inside conditions (protected from weather but not temperature changes).

- Occasionally exposed to extreme cold or heat (temperatures below 32°F or above 100°F for over an hour).
- Frequently exposed to noise (requiring shouting to be heard), vibration, hazards (e.g., moving parts, electrical current, high places, heat, chemicals), fumes, odors, dust, mists, gases, poor ventilation, and oils.
