Field Maintenance Specialist - Charleston, West Virginia

AGC Heat Transfer, the leading manufacturer of sanitary plate heat exchangers in North America, is seeking a skilled, customer-driven Field Maintenance Specialist based in Charleston, West Virginia to support customers across the U.S.

About the role

This traveling role is ideal for mechanically inclined professionals who enjoy hands-on work, travel, and direct customer interaction. You will be on the road approximately 50% of the time, including some weekends.

Responsibilities

• Perform Plate Check™ and tubular heat exchanger inspections
• Execute repairs, troubleshooting, and installation supervision
• Conduct on-site customer training
• Travel more than 15 days per month
• Maintain detailed plant folders, documentation, and follow-up communication
• Collaborate with AGC Sales Engineers on upcoming service needs
• Submit accurate service reports within 48 hours
• Mentor new technicians as needed

Requirements

• Prior experience as a traveling technician
• High school diploma or GED
• Strong mechanical aptitude and tool experience
• Excellent communication and customer-service skills
• Proficiency with Office 365 (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel)
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Preferred Qualifications

• Maintenance background
• Dairy/food manufacturing experience
• Plate heat exchanger knowledge
• Military service

Pay

$30–$32/hour + bonus potential
