Salary: $40,000–$45,000 per year

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • One (1) year of clerical work experience
  • Possession and maintenance of a valid PA driver’s license

Familiarity with the election process, polling place locations, and prior warehouse work experience are preferred. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted.

Candidates must successfully pass a background check, including verification of Allegheny County Real Estate Tax status, to receive a final offer of employment.

Residency in Allegheny County is required within one year of hire.

Veterans’ preference will be awarded to eligible candidates.

Responsibilities

  • Field telephone inquiries from the public (e.g., voters, candidates, and political party representatives) regarding polling place locations
  • Verify polling place locations and coordinate changes as needed
  • Perform onsite visits to determine functionality and accessibility of polling places
  • Maintain contact information for polling places
  • Correspond with polling place contacts via phone, email, in writing, or in-person
  • Assist in scheduling equipment and supply deliveries to polling locations
  • Maintain inventory records for relevant equipment (e.g., ADA supplies, ADA compliance and PPC checklists, tables, machines)
  • Assist in ensuring polling places have appropriate furniture, restroom facilities, and are universally accessible
  • Escalate operational issues to the Field Maintenance Manager as necessary
  • Track polling place issues and ensure corrective actions
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
