Position Overview
TEAM is seeking an entry-level person with a mechanical aptitude and a good grasp of math to be safety-focused, keen to train and learn with a strong work ethic. The Field Machinist will be provided continuous training, assist and perform machining work scopes within the service level qualification assigned, and have opportunities for training and growth into other technical services, project management, or leadership roles.

Primary Responsibilities
- Compliance with all safety procedures and job documentation.
- Setting up and operating a wide variety of portable machine tools to perform on-site machine work on location at client work sites.
- Executing field machining operations in accordance with the technician certification following company processes and procedures, achieving or exceeding quality expectations for: pipe cutting and beveling, flange facing, drilling and tapping, milling, line boring, key-way cutting, shaft turning, metal disintegration, bolt removal.
- Attending and completing required training to maintain competence and continuously improve skills and knowledge.
- Identifying and using proper safety procedures and equipment.
- Documenting all field machining service activities as required.
Physical And Mental Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds.
- Sufficient personal mobility to maneuver in a standard, refinery or plant environment, including access to elevated platforms via ladders and stairwells.
- Sufficient clarity of speech and hearing or other communication capabilities, with or without reasonable accommodation, to communicate effectively.
- Sufficient vision or other powers of observation, with or without reasonable accommodation, to investigate.
- Sufficient manual dexterity with or without reasonable accommodation, to perform routine office duties.
- Sufficient personal mobility and physical reflexes, with or without reasonable accommodations, to perform office duties and travel when necessary to off-site locations.
- Able to maintain focus and multitask with effective communication skills.
Work Conditions
- Based out of a TEAM field office or client site location.
- Field duties require indoor and outdoor work in a plant atmosphere.
- Interaction with other crew employees, as well as supervisors and client personnel.
- Working in plant and/or shop areas around production machinery with extreme noise levels.
- Must be able to wear safety equipment as required by the safety department for personal protection.
- May be at more than one job site in a day and must be able to tolerate climate changes.
- May be required to travel out of town on a periodic basis.
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Technical school, industry, or relevant training preferred.
- One or more years of experience preferred.
- Driving license, TWIC card, preferred.
