  • Diagnose RF coverage problems, equipment faults, interference, connectivity issues, and other system performance concerns.
  • Configure and adjust system components to achieve required signal levels and building coverage.
  • Read and work from construction drawings, system layouts, specifications, and installation documentation.
  • Coordinate field activities with project management, engineering teams, general contractors, and other trades.
  • Assist with system startup, acceptance testing, inspections, and final turnover.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of completed work, testing results, equipment, and field conditions.
  • Follow applicable safety procedures and maintain an organized and professional jobsite.
  • Perform service, preventive maintenance, upgrades, and repairs on existing systems as needed.
  • Ensure field installations meet applicable codes, project specifications, manufacturer requirements, and AHJ expectations.

Requirements

  • Understanding of RF fundamentals, signal strength, amplification, antennas, coaxial cabling, and related components.
  • Experience using RF or signal-testing equipment is highly desirable.
  • Ability to troubleshoot technical issues independently in a field environment.
  • Comfortable working on commercial construction sites and coordinating with multiple trades.
  • Ability to read technical drawings, plans, and system documentation.
  • Working knowledge of applicable fire/life-safety, electrical, and emergency communication requirements is preferred.
