Field / Install Technician - Arlington Heights, IL

About the Role

Lifeway Mobility is seeking a hands-on Accessibility Installation Technician to install and service accessibility solutions such as wheelchair ramps, stair lifts, and ceiling lifts. This role is ideal for candidates with a background in construction, carpentry, HVAC, or solar who are looking for a purpose-driven career with growth potential, paid training, and monthly performance bonuses.

What You’ll Do

• Pick up and load the company vehicle at our location each morning
• Install and repair accessibility products, including wheelchair ramps, stair lifts, and ceiling lifts
• Explain the project to the customer and answer any questions they may have
• Enter work order and inventory data into our system (basic computer skills required)
• Receive paid manufacturer training and hands-on learning to develop your skills
• Work independently or as part of a two-person team
• Jobs may range from a few hours to a few days—no overnight travel required
• Occasional Saturday overtime available
• All tools provided

Qualifications

• Experience using hand and power tools
• Basic computer skills for work orders and inventory
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• High school diploma or GED
• Background in construction, carpentry, HVAC, solar, or other installation/service trades is a plus
• Ability to pass a background check, drug test, and motor vehicle record check
• Valid driver’s license and ability to drive a company vehicle to job sites

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift 75+ lbs. and work overhead for short periods
• Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors year-round
• Able to climb ladders, crouch, and occasionally work in confined spaces and at heights

Schedule

Full-Time, Monday – Friday with occasional Saturday overtime available.

Pay

Hourly rate of $22–$26, plus monthly performance bonuses that can boost your hourly rate by $3 or more when branch goals are met.
