Field Geophysicist

Job Summary

Perform a comprehensive range of geophysical technologies in support of geologic, groundwater, environmental, engineering, and materials testing investigations. Conduct non-invasive geophysical surveys from the ground surface as well as geophysical logging in boreholes to provide images or models of subsurface conditions. Interpret results and incorporate into infrastructure planning, environmental assessments, and earth resource evaluations.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety rules, guidelines and standards for all projects.
• Participate in pre-task planning.
• Report any safety issues or concerns to management.
• Understand and practice quality acumen.
• Support consistent quality standards on proposal and project delivery.
• Develop investigative programs by selecting appropriate techniques for site studies.
• May have limited client contact pertaining to specific projects/tasks.
• Willing to travel locally and throughout Texas for various assignments; this role requires up to 80% travel.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Geophysics, or Geo-related field.
