About the role
The Field Marketing & Events Manager is responsible for growing Supabase's events program, which includes both partner events and strategic business events. This role focuses on putting Supabase in front of the wider market and its partner network through partner events and trade shows, as well as running high-touch events with Sales to influence and accelerate pipeline.
Responsibilities
- Own partner events and trade shows end to end, from planning through on-site execution and follow-up.
- Work with Sales to design and run strategic business events such as executive dinners, roundtables, and small high-touch gatherings aimed at target accounts, pipeline, and expansion.
- Evaluate event opportunities and make the case for where our time and budget go.
- Manage the operational backbone of each event, including budgets, vendors, timelines, run-of-show docs, staffing plans, and on-site execution.
- Coordinate the physical side of events, including booth assets, shipping, print, signage, swag, demos, registration, and overall experience.
- Partner closely with Product Marketing, Partnerships, Design, Operations, Finance, and Legal to align on goals and ship great events together.
- Drive promotion and attendee communications, including registration, reminders, internal briefs, and readiness docs.
- Ensure leads are captured and followed up on, working with Operations and GTM.
- Track how events perform against their goals and turn the results into reporting, learnings, and program improvements.
- Build repeatable playbooks, templates, and processes that let the program scale without getting heavier.
- Support our community events program where it helps.
Qualifications
- 5-8+ years in field marketing or a closely related role.
- Direct experience running trade shows and sponsored conferences: booth strategy, on-site execution, and everything that goes into a great presence.
- Experience with partner events and co-marketing: planning and running events with partners, and managing the relationships and deliverables that come with them.
- Experience building strategic business events in close partnership with Sales, things like executive dinners, roundtables, and targeted regional events tied to pipeline.
- Comfort owning budgets, vendors, contracts, and on-site logistics.
- Strong written communication skills, especially in a remote, async environment.
- Willingness to travel up to 50%.
What You Are
- Passionate about building memorable, high-quality event experiences.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with strong management of timelines and multiple priorities.
- Execution-focused, but always thinking about impact.
- Analytical and data-driven; uses metrics to make decisions and improve outcomes.
- Calm under pressure, adaptable on-site, and quick to solve problems.
- A clear communicator who builds strong relationships across teams.
- Scrappy and resourceful; makes things happen with limited resources.
- Excited to learn, improve processes, and grow as the program scales.
What We're Looking For
- Experience marketing to a technical or developer audience: B2B SaaS, developer tools, infrastructure, or open source.
- A history of working hand in glove with enterprise Sales teams on field programs.
- Experience working in a fast-moving, lean, remote, async environment.
