Field Engineer - Survey (Round Rock, TX)

About the role

DNT Construction, LLC is seeking highly motivated individuals for a Field Engineer position in the Survey Department, with openings in both the San Antonio and Austin area offices. The role involves assisting the crew chief (a three‑ to four‑person team) with daily tasks, receiving on‑the‑job training, and offering opportunities for advancement within the company.

Responsibilities

• Assist the crew chief with the daily assigned task list
• Collaborate cross‑functionally with other departments and field personnel to provide the requested layout
• Keep the work truck loaded with necessary materials
• Set up, care for, and maintain robotic and GPS survey equipment assigned to the crew
• Use hand tools such as a 10‑lb sledgehammer, 16‑oz hammer, and 5‑lb pick axe
• Work with the latest survey technology including Trimble GPS, robotic systems, and Topcon GPS machine control units

Requirements

• Ability to pass a pre‑employment drug screen and physical
• Valid Texas driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Capability to work outdoors in all weather conditions for extended periods
• Effective communication with management and field personnel regarding tasks
• Bilingual ability is a plus but not required

Pay

Compensation is based on experience.

Schedule
