Join Hanwha Qcells USA Corp and support the build of utility-scale solar and energy storage projects across the U.S. This is an evergreen posting for current and future project needs across our solar and BESS EPC portfolio. We are actively building a pipeline of qualified Field Engineers to support upcoming work.

About the role

Field Engineers are placed on project sites for the duration of the build (typically 8–12 months) and then transition to the next project. This is a fully on-site, field-based role requiring 100% nationwide travel. You will relocate to project sites for 8–12 months at a time and must be comfortable with a project-to-project travel lifestyle. Working hours are Monday through Friday, from 8:00am to 5:00pm local time or other hours established by the site. Overtime and weekend work will be required as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Support Site Managers and Superintendents in daily construction activities
  • Assist with project coordination, logistics, and material tracking
  • Review drawings and help ensure work aligns with project plans
  • Track production, progress, and key project metrics
  • Support safety and quality efforts on site
  • Coordinate with subcontractors and internal teams

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED required; Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field preferred
  • 0–3+ years of construction experience (solar or utility-scale preferred)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Familiarity with construction/project management tools (e.g., Procore or similar)
  • Ability and desire to work collaboratively to ensure successful project execution
  • Proven ability to generate and deliver reports that provide useful insight into project details
  • Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the field
  • Ability to rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States (no visa sponsorship available)

Physical Demands

  • Able to climb and maintain balance on ladders, scaffolding, stairways, etc.
  • Stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, or work at elevated heights as well as in confined spaces (towers, vessels, excavations, etc.)
  • Able to walk or move continuously while carrying 50 lbs. of tools and/or materials (assistance recommended for items over 50 lbs.)
  • Must be able to stand or walk for long periods of time
