Location: Crane, IN (on-site). Travel required: 25% of the time, with potential for additional travel to support fleet requests (CONUS and/or OCONUS).
About the role
SAIC is seeking a Field Engineer for advanced Airborne Electronic Warfare systems. Work involves US Navy aircraft in both cold and hot environments; exposure to noise and aircraft exhaust fumes is possible. When not traveling, the candidate will be stationed at NSWC Crane, supporting Fleet Support Team/Depot repair of assets, writing and validating procedures, collaborating with draftsmen to generate drawings, performing Engineering Investigations, assisting with Engineering Change Proposals, and responding to fleet requests for information.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer, Electronic, or Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited university
- Minimum of four (4) years of field experience
- Familiarity with mechanical hand and power tools and their safe use
- Must be able to obtain a Secret security clearance (interim clearance required to start; SAIC will sponsor)
