Responsibilities
- Mentors and leads inspections and orientations, identifies hazards and corrections, and leads by example for health and safety practices and procedures
- Coordinates with superintendent on workforce planning
- Maintains project document control and procedures
- Supports project engineers and/or superintendents to lead trade contractors, including requests for information (RFIs), shop drawings, changes, and billings
- Participates in the supervision of self-perform scopes, including resolving crew sizes, labor tracking, and quantity tracking for Labor Cost Reports (LCRs)
- Mentors and coaches field engineers and students/interns
- Identifies issues on-site or in defined work scopes
- Coordinates third-party inspections and site reviews
- Participates in crafting, implementing, and supervising quality plan, Inspection and Test Plan (ITP)
- Develops and maintains positive relationships focusing on all partners
Qualifications
- Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in a related field: construction management, engineering, architecture preferred, or equivalent experience
- 0 to 8-12 months of varied experience as field engineer/coordinator preferred; time acquired during internships in the field may count as experience
- Projects are located throughout the Northwest, primarily in Washington and Oregon; candidates must be willing and able to work on assignments across the region, including potential temporary relocation within the region based on project needs
- Knowledge of construction specifications, methods, and procedures (e.g., formwork methodologies, self-perform work, subcontracted work scopes, temporary work, equipment, and scheduling techniques)
- Understands and applies construction principles to problem solve
- Effective verbal and written communication with supervisors and subcontractors, and reports
- Proven track record to work in a fast-paced environment
- Writes clear technical communication to trade contractors, designers, and inspectors
- Develops and maintains effective partner relationships
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and construction-related software
Pay
The estimated salary range for this role is $82,000 to $101,500, based on your experience and qualifications. Final compensation will be confirmed as part of a personalized offer.
