Field CTO

Role Overview

Celonis is seeking a visionary Field CTO to serve as a high-impact technical advisor for key prospects and customers. This role requires a deep understanding of Process Intelligence, Agentic AI, and Enterprise Modernization.

Executive Advisory

• Serve as a trusted advisor to C-level executives, aligning their strategic goals with Celonis' technical vision
• Translate complex business transformations into scalable technical strategies

Strategic Architecture & Roadmap

• Lead the data, cloud, and innovation strategy for our largest global accounts
• Utilize methodologies like Capability Mapping to identify high-value opportunities

Innovation Leadership

• Architect "first-of-a-kind" solutions using emergent technologies like Agentic AI
• Solve complex enterprise challenges

Sales & Business Impact

• Partner with Sales and Value Engineering to drive revenue through new customer acquisition and strategic up-selling

Product Advocacy

• Act as a critical feedback loop between Product & Engineering teams and the market
• Ensure the voice of the customer shapes future offerings

Thought Leadership

• Develop and deliver customer-facing position papers, assets, and presentations

Qualifications

• Experience: 15 to 20 years of relevant experience, ideally serving as a CTO at a consulting firm, Field CTO at a software vendor, or Director/VP of Enterprise Architecture within a major corporation
• Strategic Communication: Proven track record of presenting complex technical visions to C-suite stakeholders
• Modernization Expertise: Deep experience in Enterprise Modernization, EA Methodologies, and a robust understanding of Agentic AI
• Technical Versatility: Ability to pivot from high-level architecture diagrams to hands-on demos
• Technical Foundation: Excellent background in Data Architecture, API ecosystems, and cloud-native SaaS solutions like Salesforce and ServiceNow
• ERP/Domain: Strong knowledge of at least one ERP (SAP or Oracle) or in alternative strong domain expertise in high regulated industries like Financial Services
• Education: MSc degree in Computer Science or an equivalent IT-related field
• Preferred Tech Stack: Celonis, OCPM and Case Centric Data Pipelines
• Certifications: TOGAF/Zachmann, AWS/Azure/GCP, and ESB/ETL certifications (e.g., Mulesoft, Informatica)
• Industry Breadth: Experience across at least two domains (e.g., Finance, Supply Chain) and two industries (e.g., Pharma, Banking, Aerospace)
