Field Crane Technician -Duluth, MD

About the role

MGX Field Crane Technicians are responsible for the inspection, diagnosis, repair, and maintenance of various crane equipment including mobile cranes and boom trucks. This position will be remote and report to the Bloomington, MN branch for MGX Equipment Services and reports to the Service Manager. Candidates hired for this role will receive a $4,500 sign-on bonus, payable after 90 days continuous service; and be eligible for our Tool Reimbursement Program of up to $1,500 per calendar year. Relocation assistance may also be available to those who qualify.

Responsibilities

• Light diagnosis, repair and troubleshooting of various mobile hydraulic and lattice cranes.
• Capable of accomplishing tasks independently without direct supervision.
• Perform thorough and accurate annual inspections.
• Properly fills out working reports, hours reports, time sheets, hours overviews and expense reports.
• Provides excellent customer service.
• Perform job functions in a safe manner; wear all required PPE; know and follow safety procedures; participate in safety training; report safety issues.
• Work in environments with exposure to extreme temperatures, weather, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, odors, loud noises; may require sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling; frequent lifting/moving of up to 40 pounds; requires close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception and focus adjustment.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED with a minimum of one (1) year of experience as a Crane Mechanic/Technician preferred.

Qualifications

• Mechanical background with related experience in electrical and hydraulics;
