Construction Equipment Field Technician

Position Summary

Cleveland Brothers Caterpillar is seeking highly skilled Diesel Technicians for Field positions working on Large Mining and construction equipment as well as other supporting equipment. The focus of this position will be to provide mechanical repairs on a mine site in the Hazelton PA area. Cleveland Brothers will provide you the necessary training and specialty tools to be successful as a technician working for the largest equipment company in Pennsylvania.

Primary Responsibilities

• Independently and successfully diagnose and repair equipment
• Overhaul engines and other major components
• Operate and maintain all types of Mining and construction equipment
• Communicate and problem solve with customers

Qualifications

• Previous experience working on heavy equipment
• Knowledge of diesel engines
• Knowledge of hydraulics
• Knowledge of electronics
• Intermediate computer skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Good human relations skills and abilities
• Wide range of various working experience is acceptable including technical schools, military background, or job experience

Physical Requirements

• Overall stamina
• Sitting, standing, climbing, walking, lifting, pulling and/or pushing
• Carrying, grasping, reaching, stooping and crouching
• Listening and speaking
• Must have good motor coordination skills
• Coordination of eyes, hands, and feet
• Verbal intelligence and numerical intelligence
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds
• Work overtime as needed

Work Environment

• Industrial environment with exposure to significant environmental conditions
• Subject to noise, heat, cold, injury exposures, and atmospheric exposures
• This is a safety sensitive position
