Field Coordinator

About the role

The Field Coordinator oversees all activities related to projects and personnel within their assigned team or region. This role collaborates with the VP of Construction, Field Teams, and Project Teams to ensure operational success.

Responsibilities

• Ensure team members understand expectations, provide regular feedback, and hold them accountable for performance.
• Assist the Vice President of Field Operations in hiring, evaluating, and recommending compensation for team members.
• Train team members in estimating, scheduling, and construction management techniques.
• Terminate team members when necessary, with direct involvement and approval from the VP of Field Operations.
• Participate in presentations to prospective clients and maintain ongoing client contact.
• Assist in project proposals, including scheduling and budgeting.
• Assign a responsible individual for every project to ensure accountability.
• Review all estimates for completeness and competitiveness.
• Ensure consistent use of "Ryan Tools" across the construction department.
• Maximize profit on each project while aligning with Ryan’s long-term interests.
• Enforce proper cost control, communication, and documentation procedures on all projects.
• Ensure timely project closeout and completion of punchlist work.
• Maintain current accounts payable and receivable for assigned projects.
• Assist in approving and monitoring subcontractors.
• Train subordinates on new and existing computer programs.
• Stay informed on regional union issues and review/approve project labor agreements.
• Prepare monthly status reports for the VP of Field Operations on assigned projects.
• Actively participate in Field Manager/Coordinator meetings and support decisions made.
• Work on special projects for the division and assist with project/personnel assignments.
• Support the VP of Field Operations in accomplishing field operation "Action Plans."
• Stay updated on construction industry developments and communicate them to the team.
