Field Controls Engineer

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, testing, start up and integration of Programmable Logic Control (PLC) based Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems at various client sites.
• Work on both existing and new PLC SCADA systems.
• Programm PLC and HMI code.
• Assist with testing and commissioning of the SCADA hardware and software.

Requirements

• Professional expertise of maintenance, testing, startup/integration and troubleshooting of PLC based SCADA hardware and software used in industrial control systems.
• Bachelors Engineering degree.
• Expertise with hands-on field experience with instrumentation commonly used in control systems.
• Night and Weekend work is often required for critical systems.
• 15%-20% travel time expected with trip durations 1 to 2 weeks, local travel.

Qualifications

• Ideally, You’ll Also Have Certified Control Systems Technician (CCST) certification through ISA is preferred.
• Experience with programming of Siemens 400H PLC, Simatic Step 7, TIA Portal.
• Rockwell Automation ControlLogix and CompactLogix platform, Rockwell Studio 5000.
• Schneider PLCs, ProWorx.
• Experience with Wonderware, WinCC, FactoryTalk and IFIX HMI, Ignition – vision and Perspective HMI software programming.

Pay

The base salary range for this position is $126,000.00 to $185,000.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
