About the role
Eaton’s Electronics division is currently seeking a Field Application Engineer, Electronics to join its team. This role is remote and is based in the Dallas, TX or Austin, TX area. Only candidates within these locations will be considered.
Job Responsibilities
- Provide application support to OEMs mainly located in Texas.
- Design assistance includes system analysis and proposal, product selection, layout, technical comparison, elevation drawings, configuration, etc.
- Effectively translate customer needs to commercial & R&D team to facilitate product design and specification to improve NBO successful rate.
- Deliver training programs to customers and channel partners, on product technology, including product technology, applications, regular product road map update etc.
- Gather customer feedback and provide input to product management in an effort to improve product acceptance in the marketplace and drive roadmap development.
- Work with marketing and sales teams to identify new opportunities and be a key contributor to achieve/exceed NBO pipeline target.
- Prepare technical literatures, application notes, technical sales tools, training material etc.
Qualifications
- Required (Basic): Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited institution
- Minimum 5 years of field application experience in the electronics industry
Skills
- Sound technical background with strong application knowledge in Power Management for below Industries: Computing – Server & Storage (must), Automotive & Transportation, Industrial segment
- Knowledge of Codes and Standards
- Initiative and positive

Pay
This position has a target total compensation range of $123,750 - $181,500. Base salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
