General Summary

As the Field Analytics and Reporting Associate Director, you will support all field analytics for Vertex product launches. You report to the Director of Field Analytics in North America IACO (Insights Analytics & Commercial Operations).

Key Duties And Responsibilities

  • Serve as the point person for all field reporting business needs, system requirements, and overseeing of development for field, field management, and HQ users.
  • Work closely with IT team and vendor service companies to create roadmaps, timelines, and deployment plans.
  • Develop mock-ups and support system development for Power BI application updates and enhancements.
  • Conduct ad hoc analysis for BU and field leadership to support business questions and recommendations for early launch findings and refinements.
  • Design, construct, and roll-out analytical dashboards for different commercial field teams to generate real-time analytics.
  • Understand data warehouse models and work with internal team members to utilize data for reporting and ad hoc analysis, recommending best practices and optimizations for data use with DTE.
  • Work with Data Management, IT, and other internal stakeholders to ensure proper data definitions, business rules, and data warehouse structure and support model are optimized for ongoing/ad hoc analytics needs.
  • Maintain oversight of field performance, inquiries, KPIs, and business leader feedback to identify areas of opportunity for training and communications.
  • Act as a liaison with the Field Operations functions to ensure deliverables, timelines, and field deployment planning are incorporated into field sales team planning.
  • Identify risks, potential barriers, or issues to Field Operations functional leaders and propose solutions based on field feedback or KPI observations.
  • Work with sales leaders to address gaps in field buy-in, accountability, or performance and provide necessary resources, knowledge gaps, or coaching opportunities.

Knowledge And Skills

  • Ability to perform hands-on analytics in Snowflake data warehouse and Power BI analytics tools.
  • Effective communication of results and complex data insights to brand and business unit leadership.
  • Proficient in pharmaceutical sales roles in complex selling environments across IDNs, institutions, HCPs, virtual sales, and non-personal promotion activities.
  • High business and technical acumen in pharmaceutical sales operations including CRM, customer data management, sales data (retail/institution), field reporting, and incentive compensation.
  • Strong project management skills with demonstrated ability to lead multiple projects and priorities.
  • Experience in understanding, facilitating, and communicating with field sales teams and field sales leadership to drive high field adoption and field performance.
  • Ability to manage internal partners and external vendors in delivery of required resources or field support delivery.
  • Strong understanding of the life sciences industry.

Education And Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree and 8+ years in a pharmaceutical analytics role.
  • 3+ years of experience delivering complex analytics for product launches within the pharma industry, including support of brand planning, field strategy/sizing, channel optimization, field performance reporting, and ad hoc requests to support business planning and refinements.

Pay Range

$157,800 - $236,600

The range provided is based on what we believe is a reasonable estimate for the base salary pay range for this job at the time of posting. This role is eligible for an annual bonus and annual equity awards. Some roles may also be eligible for overtime pay, in accordance with federal and state requirements. Actual base salary pay will be based on a number of factors, including skills, competencies, experience, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
