About the role
Performs various fiberglass and plastic fabrication tasks on a range of items, both in-shop and on rides.
Responsibilities
- Hand laminating, operating a chopper gun, and rolling out fiberglass materials
- Vacuum forming and bonding plastics such as ABS, Kydex, polycarbonate, and Plexiglas
- Grinding fiberglass with power hand tools
- Removing and repairing various materials and surfaces
- Installing seatbelts and replacing upholstery
- Fabricating pans from polyester resin and urethane foam
- Preparing patterns and pulling tools or parts
- Assembling and installing fabricated pans
Requirements
- Basic knowledge of plastic materials, adhesives, and fasteners
- Four years of experience in fiberglass assembly and polyester resin hand laminating
- Good mechanical skills
- Full availability to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays
Qualifications
Experience levels:
- Level 1: General skills and some experience
- Level 2: Applies skills and special knowledge with typically 3+ years of experience
- Level 3: Applies full specialized skills and knowledge with 5+ years of experience
- Level 4: Applies expert-level knowledge and skills with 7+ years of experience
