Fiberglass Technician 1

Responsibilities

• Hand laminating, working a chopper gun, and rolling out fiberglass materials.
• Vacuum forms and bonds plastics such as ABS, kydex, polycarb and plexiglass.
• Grinding fiberglass with power hand tools, both in the shop and on rides.
• Removing and repairing various materials and surfaces, such as installing various seatbelts and changing out upholstery.
• Fabricating pans from polyester resin and urethane foam.

Qualifications

• Ability to prepare a pattern and pull a tool or a part.
• Ability to assemble and install fabricated pans.
• Basic knowledge of plastic materials, adhesive, and fasteners.
• Four-year experience in fiberglass assembly and polyester resin hand laminating.
• Good mechanical skills.

Additional Information

Position requires full availability to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Experience Levels

• Level 1: Applies general skills and some experience.
• Level 2: Applies skills and special knowledge with typically 3+ years of experience.
• Level 3: Applies full specialized skills and knowledge with 5+ years of experience.
• Level 4: Applies expert level of knowledge, skills with 7+ years of experience.
