About the role
As a Fiber Technician I, you will locate and repair fiber impairments, examine existing fiber plant, and connect new builds for residential and enterprise customers. Your work helps maintain and improve the fiber network, ensuring reliable customer connectivity. You will work primarily independently in the field, supporting team collaboration, and using cutting-edge technology to deliver quality service.
Responsibilities

Requirements
- High school diploma
- Industry certifications (e.g., NCTI, SCTE, BCT/E)
- At least 1 year of maintenance or equivalent experience
- Knowledge of fiber architectures, testing, splicing, and wavelength division multiplexing
- Strong communication, organization, and independent work skills
- Ability to stand for long periods, use hand tools, climb poles, and work in various weather conditions
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate degree in electronics
- Basic computer skills
