Fiber Splice Tech - Hiring Now

Key Responsibilities

• Perform end-to-end splicing on aerial and underground fiber optic cables.
• Use OTDRs, power meters, and light-level testing to verify signal performance.
• Interpret engineered blueprints and splice diagrams to guide your work.
• Self-supervise job sites to ensure all safety protocols are followed.
• Act as the face of the company when communicating with property owners or residents, ensuring all questions are handled professionally.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Proven experience with fusion splicing, fiber ribbon stripping, and fiber architecture.
• Comfortable using Google Earth for site navigation and mapping, EXFO/OTDR software for testing, and Excel or Google Sheets for data tracking and production reporting.
• Ability to read and interpret complex splice matrices and technical PDFs.
• Ability to handle the physical demands of fieldwork (aerial and underground), with a willingness to work flexible hours and overtime.
• Valid driver's license
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
• Authorization to work in the United States
