Role Overview
The Fiber Sales Specialist is responsible for driving sales growth and expanding market share for Master Builders Solutions' fiber technologies across the United States and Canada. This role develops and strengthens relationships with concrete producers, contractors, specifiers, architects, engineers, project owners, and other key industry stakeholders to identify and secure new business opportunities. Serving as both a sales leader and technical resource, the Fiber Sales Specialist provides expertise in fiber applications, product evaluations, customer trials, training, and troubleshooting while collaborating closely with sales, marketing, engineering, and product development teams. The position is accountable for building and managing a robust sales pipeline, supporting new product introductions, identifying market trends and customer needs, and promoting innovative and sustainable solutions that deliver value to customers and drive long-term business growth.
Responsibilities
- Drive Fiber Sales Growth
- Engage with general contractors, specifiers, architects, engineers and project owners to drive sales through key influencers
- Collaborate to develop Master Builder Solutions’ strategies to grow fibers within different market sectors, such as ready-mix concrete, precast and underground
- Aid in implementing the introduction of new solutions
- Develop and manage a robust pipeline of new sales opportunities for fibers
- Open the doors to unsold customers and assist with sing and trials to increase our market share
- Collaborate and work with local territory sales teams to support new and existing customers
- Work in conjunction with our Marketing and Engineering teams to develop specific programs to support sales growth
- Utilize SalesForce for tracking and reporting growth opportunities for new business
- Provide Technical Support
- Viewed as technical expert within business for Fiber technologies; assisting with mix designs, customer trials and training
- Aid in troubleshooting issues related to applications both on-site and off-site
- Collaborate with customers to address specific challenges and tailor solutions to their needs
- Customer Interactions
- Provide voice of customer regarding the use of fiber in concrete construction
- Conduct trainings and workshops to educate internal teams and customers on the benefits and best practices
- Stay updated on the las advancements within the fiber industry and share knowledge within the organization
- Represent and promote our organization at appropriate industry associations and participate to learn about the needs and trends for fibers within concrete construction
- Develop and input new innovation ideas to submit into the new product development process and assist with existing innovation projects
- Other Duties
- Help demonstrate and create value through innovative and sustainable concrete admixture solutions
- Ensure compliance with quality standards and regulations in the development and application of product portfolio
- Implement and comply with company initiatives, policies and procedures
Qualifications
- A Bachelor's Degree related is required, experience in lieu of education will be considered.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience within the construction industry, preferably having experience with fibers and/or concrete.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in account management and sales, with a demonstrated history of closing new business and driving technology is preferred.
- A strong understanding of the key drivers within the Construction Industry, with specific experience relative to concrete preferred.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey technical information to diverse audiences.
- Able to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment with a successful history selling from a remote work office.
- Strong planning and time management skills.
- Willingness to travel frequently (50%) to customer production facilities and job sites. This position requires a valid driver’s license.
