Primary Role and Responsibilities

• Installation, maintenance, and repairing of fiber optic systems for residential and commercial customers
• Build and maintain splice closures when applicable
• Operate and maintain vehicle, tools, fusion splicer, test equipment and other company owned equipment in accordance with system guidelines and procedures
• Place aerial or buried fiber optic drops and install interior and exterior wiring
• Complete pre-install work order and post-install service verification and customer education to ensure customer satisfaction
• Observe all safety rules and OSHA regulations
• Work at heights by using/setting up various types of ladders
• Work in confined spaces
• Use internal systems for work order notation and time keeping
• Keep customer appointments

Secondary Role and Responsibilities

• RF Install and service call when needed
• Assisting mainline technicians dependent on work load

What You Need To Be Successful In This Role

• Ability to work in all weather conditions
• Experience with handling fiber optic cable and splice enclosures
• Residential and commercial installation experience
• Ability to work long hours standing /sitting in a single position
• Read and correctly interpret prints, and splice matrix
• Valid class E driver's license and good driving record
• High School Diploma or GED
