What You’ll Do Install, disconnect, reconnect, add, change, and troubleshoot fiber optic internet, and telephone based on guidelinesInstall, setup and configure all equipment Identify and try to remedy sources of customer-perceived issuesReview all requested services with the customer in order to ensure understanding and agreementEducate the customer regarding product and service usageAssist & coordinate fiber activities with Construction & Engineering departmentsConstruct network infrastructure like bays, racks, and jumper ductsClean, maintain, and stock vehicle and equipment Work overtime, travel, and perform on-call/afterhours responsibilities as neededPerform work in all weather conditionsOther duties as assigned What You’ll Need To be 18 years of age or olderAuthorization to work in the United States for this companyHigh School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experienceValid State driver's license (cannot be Provisional), including an acceptable driving recordThree years experience with fiber optic cable technology Additional Qualifications Formal fiber optic training strongly desired Physical Abilities & Exposures Routinely: work at heights, in confined spaces and alone in remote locations, operate vehicle and heavy machinery; squeeze, fine hand motion, work with arms above shoulder level, bend, stoop, stand, walk, climb stairs, and life greater than 55 poundsOccasionally: use ladder, keyboard and mouse Why grow your career with us Your career here is more than just a job — it's your pathway to opportunity.
