Fiber Installation Technician

About the role

As a Technician Fiber Installation at Bigham Cable Construction, Inc., you’ll set up and maintain fiber optic networks that connect people. You'll ensure smooth operations, troubleshoot issues, and keep connections uninterrupted.

Responsibilities

• Install, disconnect, reconnect, add, change, and troubleshoot fiber optic internet and telephone services based on guidelines
• Install, set up, and configure all equipment
• Identify and remedy sources of customer-perceived issues
• Review all requested services with the customer to ensure understanding and agreement
• Educate the customer regarding product and service usage
• Clean, maintain, and stock vehicle and equipment
• Work overtime, travel, and perform on-call/after-hours responsibilities as needed
• Perform work in all weather conditions
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• 18 years of age or older
• Authorization to work in the United States for this company
• High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience
• Valid State driver's license (cannot be Provisional), including an acceptable driving record

Physical Abilities & Exposures

• Routinely: work at heights, occasional entry into attics and crawl spaces, and alone in remote locations
• Operate vehicle and heavy machinery
• Squeeze, fine hand motion, bend, stoop, stand, walk, climb stairs, and lift up to 55 pounds without assistance
• Occasionally: use ladder, keyboard, and mouse
