About the Role
The Fiber I&R Travel Technician/Field Technician position is a full-time role based in South Carolina. The primary function is to install fiber optic internet services, providing world-class quality, and product education for residential and commercial customers. As a travel technician, you must be flexible with work locations as required by the client.

Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair fiber optic systems for residential and commercial customers
- Ensure adequate performance of internet, phone, and television services
- Complete pre-install work orders, post-install service verification, and customer education
- Place aerial or buried fiber optic drops and install interior/exterior wiring
- Observe safety rules and OSHA regulations
- Work at heights using ladders and in confined spaces
- Assist other technicians as needed
- Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor
- Adapt to new processes and information frequently
- Use internal systems for work order notation and timekeeping
- Keep customer appointments and maintain acceptable metrics
- Relocate periodically to maintain client work volumes
Qualifications
- Fiber optic internet and home phone service experience preferred (paid training available)
- Must satisfy company tool and safety equipment checklist
- Own truck, van, or SUV with a ladder rack
- Own tools, smartphone, and laptop with Microsoft Excel
- Ability to lift up to 80 lbs unassisted
- Effective communication and multitasking skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills and teamwork
- Pass background check, MVR screen, and drug test
- Accountable, dependable, and able to work overtime/weekends as needed
- Ability to take input and improve skills
Compensation
The pay is production-based. Rates will be provided upon resume submission. Paid training is available.
