About the role
A D/A Co‑Occurring Clinician provides comprehensive substance‑use treatment within Merakey’s clinic‑based behavioral health program, serving as a key member of the multidisciplinary treatment team. In addition to delivering integrated care for individuals with co‑occurring mental‑health and substance‑use disorders, the clinician provides therapeutic services including individual, couple, and family therapy; conducts intake and diagnostic assessments; facilitates group therapy—including structured drug‑and‑alcohol groups using evidence‑based practices, relapse‑prevention strategies, psychoeducation, and skill‑building; and coordinates care with the clinic director, psychiatrist, and clinical supervisor.
The clinician actively engages clients, supports ongoing participation in treatment, and delivers clinically appropriate interventions for individuals experiencing mild to severe mental‑health conditions while maintaining accurate documentation, practicing trauma‑informed and culturally competent care, and upholding ethical and professional standards.
